Honk if you see Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary’s new white cargo van on the streets of Las Cruces with Sanctuary Manager Jeff Barker behind the wheel. He’s on the road a lot in the 2007 Chevy Express, taking dogs and cats to veterinary appointments and off-site adoption events. Inside the van, up to 10 animals can ride safely in individual pet carriers.

Previously, Safe Haven’s aged SUV had become a hazard on the road. When the Doña Ana County Humane Society heard that we badly needed a new vehicle, DACHS donated the major portion of the funds. Danny Gamboa Casa de Autos supplied the perfect van at a charitable price. So a big thank you goes to both for helping to keep SHAS moving forward!
