We will be at PetCo Saturday, February 6, and February 20 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with animals to adopt and directions to the Sanctuary.

We will be at Petsmart on the second Saturday of each month from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  with animals to adopt and directions to the Sanctuary.

Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary shelters abused and abandoned dogs and cats and those needing a home because owners are no longer able to care for them. We practice a no-kill policy so needy pets have a place to live while we attempt to place them in new, loving homes. Animals that are not adopted live out their lives at Safe Haven in dignity, well cared for, and treated with love and respect. As a private, 501(c)(3), non-profit, tax-exempt organization, Safe Haven is not affiliated with or financed by any municipal, county, state, or federal government agency. We depend on the generosity of the community through monetary gifts, donations of items to our Thrift Shop, and Thrift shop sales.

Please keep Safe Haven in mind for possessions you may wish to donate to our Thrift Shop.  We accept most types of donations, i.e. clothing, pots and pans, ornaments, furniture, cans, used ink cartridges, books, and household items. Please call first before donating outdated computers and old TVs. The Thrift Shop is the main source of funding for Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary, and we greatly appreciate your support.  Visit the shop at 144 Wyatt Drive, Las Cruces, NM, Tuesdays through Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m  & Saturdays 10:00am to 1:00pm. The shop's phone number is 541-4942. Click here for our donation flyer.

Our In-take policy does not allow us to take in stray pets or pets with no known medical records. Due to our small size and lack of isolation pens, we can only take in pets that are deemed healthy or that are undergoing vaccinations in preparation for in-take. This protects the current healthy animal population at Safe Haven.

Our current facility (Cronin Ranch) is located on three acres of land in Las Cruces, Doña Ana County, New Mexico. The ranch has kennels, a cattery, and play areas accommodating up to 21 dogs and 30 cats. Upgrades to this facility are ongoing. Call 575-805-5338 for directions to Sanctuary.
